Financial
  • Oversee all financial transactions, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash-flow for a pediatric medical group including board-certified pediatricians, APRNs, PAs, lactation consultants, and nutritionists across four office locations, including the business headquarters.

 

  • Managed and organized pediatric acquisitions.

  • Within four months, the newly acquired office providers doubled their monthly collections. This achievement was part of the "improvement program," which made up several components aimed at enhancing the financial performance of the new locations.

  • Approve and review annual corporate budget.

    • Continue to explore methods to increase revenue through added providers, locations, and testing. Ensure expenses are managed and consistently seek ways to reduce costs.

 

  • Implemented and reviewed all financial reports for the provider, including collections, appointment types, CPT codes, insurance reimbursements, office testing program costs (flu, RSV, strep, Covid-19), patient demographics (growth model), cash flow, payroll, and monthly billing closings.

 

  • Vendor pricing is negotiated regularly, both quarterly and annually, to improve profitability.

  • The annual revenue for 2024 experienced a 38% increase compared to 2023. Additionally, since 2015, there has been a cumulative increase of 125%.

  • For the 2025 IT budget, the annual budget was reduced by 40%, while all services were supported, and added products were included to improve office efficiency.

  • During the first 6 months of employment, revenue increased by 11%, while expenses decreased by 8%.

 

  • Facilitated lease agreement negotiations for all four office locations. Successfully renewed all lease agreements with minimal increases. Additionally, ensured availability of capital funds for ongoing remodeling and updates of our office spaces.

  • Achieved $30,000 in expense savings during the first quarter of employment.

  • Developed and executed a strategic cash flow plan that successfully paid off the business line of credit exceeding $250,000 within a year.

  • Negotiated annual malpractice coverage for the practice, resulting in a savings of over 25% on annual office costs.

Clinical Development

  • Created a clinical workflow that reduced patient wait times and organized the nursing team for greater efficiency.

  • An internal triage department was designed to enable the nursing team to respond to patients more promptly.

  • Implemented Tele-Health services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Oversaw the daily operations of Clinical Director. Ensured that all medical offices consistently adhered to safe clinical practices and operational procedures.

  • Reviewed, negotiated, and approved all clinical supplies and orders. Collaborated with partners such as MCKESSON to secure the most competitive pricing for all supplies and tests used in the office.

Business & Operations
 
  • Oversaw, budgeted and managed office renovation projects (3) to meet current healthcare practice standards.

    • Monthly and quarterly meetings with CPM’s facility director. Ensure all facilities are kept to the highest standards to ensure patient satisfaction and cleanliness.

    • All renovations were completed without any restrictions on patient access to care.
       

  • A call center was designed to enhance service delivery. The goal was to ensure that all patients received an improved experience and that calls were answered promptly, easing the scheduling of appointments efficiently.

  • Redesigned the practice's website to enhance its marketing capabilities.
     

  • Developed a reputation management workflow to address reviews within the community. Ensured all patient follow-ups were completed promptly with solutions to their complaints.
     

  • Introduced Phreesia, a patient communication system enabling direct messaging, demographics, registration, clinical questionnaires, payments, and surveys via mobile devices
     

    • Monthly billing recap meetings: superbills, rejections, postings, accounts receivable, denials, collections.

      • The insurance accounts receivable for 0-30 days averaged approximately 88-90%.

Human Resources

 

  • Implemented annual performance evaluations and salary increases for the practice.

    • Established a bonus incentive program for all staff members and providers.

  • Recruited and hired pediatricians, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses, and developed a comprehensive orientation training program for physicians.

  • Revamped and enhanced all provider compensation and bonus plans.

  • Negotiate all health, dental and life insurance benefits.

Information Technology

 

  • Worked with the senior IT engineer weekly to address and resolve office issues promptly.

  • Created an internal inventory system for the corporation’s IT systems (phones and computers).

  • Implemented an updated Voice over IP (VoIP) phone system, enhancing efficiency for all team members both in the office and remotely. This system also improved the user experience for patients calling into the office.

  • Managed the 2025 Microsoft refresh program, resulting in each team member receiving updated and new IT equipment. This ensures the offices can work at full ability.

    • Implemented a recall system to remind patients to schedule well visits or immunizations, providing recurring business and improving customer service.

    • An online payment portal was introduced in partnership with a collection firm, which resulted in increased revenue and reduced patient accounts receivable.

    • Manage and supervise all IT budgets and operations, including the cloud-based EMR and PM systems.

      • Amazon Web Services (AWS), backup systems, access points, security systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), communication with the IT team, email hosting system, onboarding for new staff (IT), fiber access to all locations for improved connections.
